Brazilian

Beatriz Rinaldi from Brazil, who is studying in London, had a fever two weeks’ ago. She was refused to be seen by the doctor, then given diagnose of Tami flu due to her asthma after ringing a flu hotline.

“I probably had a normal flu, and still preferred being seen by a doctor,” Beatriz said.

She was put on to the risk group because Brazil had the second largest death toll back in spring.“I will take the shot and get away from it.”

Also She believes everyone is bound to catch the virus sooner or later, without being aware of it.

American

The disease is better understood in the US because of the vaccine. More concerns are drawn to future lives might be claimed by the flu.

“People reacted far from panic in the US, and I don’t know of any people who themselves have friends or family who’ve contacted it”, said Ross Doll, who  is studying in the northwest. “But people are still worried, especially in the lower 48 states. It’s definitely a different kind of flu.”

Meanwhile, he pointed that substantial worries on the side effects of the vaccine exist among Americans, especially in the conservative part of the society.
